The Jablotron JA-80A outdoor siren uses a lithium-manganese dioxide (Li-Mn) 6 volt single use battery pack. The XCELPLUS Extended Life model is our high capacity battery rated at 19,000mAh. The Extended Life model doesn't require replacing for the next 4-5 years.

The XCELPLUS Standard model rated at 12,000mAh is also suitable for your Jablotron outdoor siren, but may only offer 3 years life depending on the frequency of use and operating temperature.

The XCELPLUS Extended Life is the uses the highest capacity battery available on the market and unlike regular single use batteries like alkaline, lithium-manganese dioxide offer sustainable pulse voltage and high operating temperatures. Replacing the original 2CR34615 battery with the high capacity Extended Life battery would increase the life of the siren.

XCELPLUS are the only producer of Jablotron batteries to include a PTC resettable fuse, used to protect against over-current faults or reverse polarity insertion. All batteries can leak acid when they're depleted for long periods if gone unchecked. PTC resettable fuses prevent further damage to the control panel from short-circuit faults caused by battery acid. As of 2014 all batteries sold by XCELPLUS now feature this vital protection.
